Monday
Rest day-ish. Walked 2 miles to BART. Got the most horrific blisters ever because I wore cute shoes.
Tuesday
Three half hour dog walks in the AM.
5 pm SculptWorks class at YogaWorks:
Two circuits of 12 exercises. We did each of the two circuits twice, doing each exercise for 1 minute. The workout was 50/50 cardio drills and strength training with resistance bands.
We used the TRX a lot which I love. Here are some of my favorite TRX moves from the class:
Pike
Mountain Climbers
Pistol Squats
Wednesday
9 am SculptWorks. Same workout, same music, and same teacher as the day before. It felt even harder the second time around.
Thursday
Rest day.
Friday
9 am Nike Training Club at 24 Hour Fitness:
It was a "Get Lean" day which meant no equipment, all cardio.
(Like the Nike Training Club App, most NTC classes are focused on one of three goals: Get Lean, Get Toned, or Get Strong)
We did four circuits of four exercises. Each circuit we did two times through before moving onto the next. The first circuit was 90 seconds per exercise, 60 seconds for the second circuit, 45 seconds for the third, and 30 seconds for the fourth. We finished the last circuit with time to kill, so the instructor had us do the first circuit again.
There were a lot cardio kickboxing moves, burpees, and dynamic pushups. When your shins are dripping sweat, you know you're working hard.
Saturday
8 am SculptWorks. Can you tell I'm on a SculptWorks kick?
We did 4 circuits using gliders, resistance bands, and body weight. It was a pretty even mix of cardio and strength.
Sunday
2 hours cleaning pens and lifting heavy things with my youth volunteer program at the Ranch.
Short cardio workout in the afternoon: 20 minute interval workout on the stationary bike and 15 minute incline walking on treadmill watching the 49ers lose. Womp womp.
