Here are my workouts from last week!
Monday
6:30 am CrossFit
Warm up 800 m run
10 x 100 m Sprints
Cool down 800 m run
Holy hell I didn't know I could be so sore from sprints. Not only were my hamstrings wrecked, my obliques were sore for DAYS after this.
Tuesday
Active Rest Day
1.5 hour hike with Jasper in the morning. He rolled in manure.. why dogs enjoy this I will never know.
Wednesday
6:30 am CrossFit
4 rounds for time:
70 Double unders
400 meter SPRINT
30 AbMat sit-ups
I can't remember my time for this workout. I am getting better at double unders but am not able to link them yet. It's crazy how much better I have gotten at jump roping singles in the short time I have been doing CrossFit, and I have been practicing double unders a lot so I think I will have them down in no time.
Thursday
4 pm Body Combat class at 24 Hour Fitness
This was a fun class and there are a lot of new tracks since the last time I did Body Combat a few months ago. If you are not familiar with Body Combat, it is a choreographed cardio kickboxing class and every few weeks a new round is released with new tracks that have new choreography. I love Body Combat and Turbo Kick, a similar choreographed class, and was glad I dropped in for this class.
Friday
6:30 am CrossFit
"Bangerang" mix up
For time:
21 Power Snatches 95/65
21 Burpee C2B pull ups
15 Overhead squats
15 Burpee C2B pull ups
9 Squat Snatches
9 Burpee C2B pull ups
I finished in 11:58 and I loved this workout! I did 45 lbs for the power snatches and burpee to jumping chest to bar pull ups (C2B means chest to bar). I have been working on my pull ups a lot recently because Fitness Cult Chronicle challenged me via twitter to have pull ups by June 1st and I know I can do it! Being challenged to get a movement makes me that much more motivated to get it.
Saturday
7 mile run with Jasper in the morning
Sunday
5 mile run with Jasper in the morning
Rock climbing with my mom in the afternoon
Here are photos from my hike on Tuesday with Jasper
